London
The London Portering Chair, now standard equipment in most leading British hospitals, is designed for transporting patients within hospital premises.
The chair is fitted with robust 200mm diameter wheels at the front and 200mm diameter brake castors at the rear.
Standard features include an integral drip pole, textured grip push handle, and deep full-width tip back footboard.

Porta 225
The Porta 225 is designed to solve the problem of transporting heavier patients within a hospital setting. It has a high carrying capacity of 200 kilos (30 stone).
The chair is built with a very robust, fully welded steel frame. It is also a semi-nesting chair, a feature that helps optimize space utilization in out-patient and A&E departments.
The Porta 225 is equipped with several features to assist with patient transfer and use. These include baggage hooks, drop-down arms for side transfer, and a wide sliding footrest.
The chairs are upholstered in flame-retardant vinyl fabric to BS5852. Customers can select their preferred colour from the Chieftain/Just Colour range of fabrics , which have been proven to counteract common hospital infections such as C.diff, E-Coli, and MRSA.

Royal Nesting Chair
The Royal Nesting Chair is a robust, front-steering portering chair designed for smooth manoeuvrability, secure patient transfers, and space-saving nested storage.
The Royal Nesting Chair is engineered to deliver reliable manoeuvrability and safe patient handling in busy clinical environments. Featuring front steering with 100 mm non-marking castors and large 200 mm rear wheels with an adjustable brake assembly, the chair provides stable, smooth movement across hospital floors.
Standard features include flip-up arms to support effortless side transfers and a full-width flip-back footboard that can be safely stood upon, supporting up to 22 stone without tipping. The design incorporates many proven elements from the widely used Bolton and London Chairs, with the added advantage of a nesting structure, allowing multiple chairs to be stored compactly without the risks associated with foldable wheelchairs.
Developed specifically to solve the challenge of storing chairs in reception, A&E, and X-ray departments, the Royal Nesting Chair provides a secure, efficient storage solution. Chairs can be nested tightly like supermarket trolleys, reducing floor space usage and lowering the risk of unauthorised removal. For enhanced security, a key/card-operated locking device can be fitted to connect chairs together.
The frame features a durable epoxy powder-coated Satin Black finish and offers multiple optional fitting points for clinical accessories including IV poles, bag carriers, seat belts, and adjustable legrests.

Porta 212

Porta Rainbow Chair
The Porta Rainbow is a colourful, non-folding portering chair designed for children aged 4–11, featuring secure handling, flip-up footboard, an integral basket with oxygen cylinder holder, and optional medical accessories.
The Porta Rainbow is a specially designed non-folding portering chair created for safely transporting children aged between 4 and 11 years. Developed in conjunction with the Great Ormond Street Hospital Portering Team, it is available as either a front-steer (Porta Rainbow F) or rear-steer (Porta Rainbow R) model.
Built for safety and ease of use, the chair includes secure child-support handles and a flip-up footboard to assist with comfortable and stable seating during transit. The standard design incorporates a fixed storage basket equipped with an integral oxygen cylinder holder, providing essential medical support when required.
The chair is upholstered in colourful Chieftain flame-retardant vinyl fabric, fully compliant with BS5852 Ignition Source 5 standards, ensuring both durability and child-friendly design. Additional optional features—such as an integral IV drip pole, telescopic legrests, and a chair-locking device—allow the Porta Rainbow to be tailored to specific clinical needs and multi-chair management.

Porta Bariatric

Escort Light
The Escort Lite has been re-designed with the expertise of health care professionals to address infection control, performance and durability. The chair is a semi-nesting portering chair with front wheel steer giving excellent manoeuvrability.
The seamless contoured seat and back make the Escort Lite very confrontable for the patient, while the ergonomically designed push bar and hand operated breaks make life easier for the operator.
When not in use the chairs can be nested together to save space in reception areas where storage is often very limited.
